Pupseria Salvadorena Bento

My buddy CocoCarina and I have a restaurant review blog, and we recently went to a great place in Santa Rosa called Pupuseria Salvadorena. Check out our review by clicking here. The food is great and the prices can't be beat. Plus the leftovers are perfect for bento!

In this bento: two Pasteles de Pollo con Papa (little potpies with chicken and potatoes), mandarin orange sections, and Curtido, a spicy, slightly fermented cabbage slaw. I made this bento a while ago, after our trip to the restaurant, but seeing it now makes me hungry for delicious Salvadoran food!

  1. I wish it was common in Europe to take leftovers home from the restaurant. Here it is only common if it is take out & restaurant in one.

  2. Aw, that's too bad Uniflame. I remember lots of good food from my stays in Germany, but you're right, not a lot of leftovers.

  3. The foods are totally new for me. So amazing that so many type of foods around the world that we can enjoy. Having the leftovers from the restaurant and put it in the bento box is a great idea :)

  4. Who knew Santa Rosa was so international? Certainly not me! I know, I know, I'll have to find out for myself. Thanks for the advertising. Leftovers bento ftw!

  6. Sheri, you gotta come up here! We just had an awesome event called Munch Monday, with 5 or 6 different food trucks gathered together at lunchtime in downtown Santa Rosa. I had dim sum, and my friend had agedashi tofu. YUM!

  8. Thank you so much, Mary! What a nice compliment from someone with an amazing blog herself. :) I hope you do come back and get the bento bug. I am also in search of the perfect bite, one bento at a time. :)
